Photography On and Off the Trail

Since Joining SORAC, I haven't participated or traveled with the group but that is about to change with our plans to join in the wildflower trip and Lake Livingston trip coming up. I wanted to see if there are any other members with the same interest in photography as myself. One of my main reasons to join the club was to experience adventure travel with a group and to take advantage of these trips for my photography habit. I'm hoping to capture the natural beauty we find in the places we visit and to possibly share my experience and interest in photography as a great hobby that goes hand in hand with almost any other hobby you can think of.

I would like to see if the club would like a forum section of the website devoted to photography in general where members could share their images from our adventures with the entire group. I would also enjoy reading about other members interests in specific types of photography and what kinds of equipment and techniques are required.

If anyone else would like to learn more about photography and how to accomplish different effects or capture shots of action etc, just ask. I would be happy to help in any way I can.
I'm posting a couple of shots from our latest trip with our ( camper) at Martin Dies Jr. State Park near Woodville, TX.

I'm thinking that you can post pics of your adventures but it doesn't necessarily have to be a SORAC trip or function. I'm hoping it will be a place for anyone that likes to photograph their travels, their interests, family and pets. Please tell a little bit about yourself and your interest in photography and about your specific pictures. Even how you took the image is good, so others can learn from your posts.
